Paranormal Experiment: Can science prove Paranormal Activity?
Have you ever heard a bump in the night and started to create logical explanations as to what that sound was? Was it the wind? Or was it something else beyond the scientific reasoning for why things happen? In this project, we attempted to answer if there is a scientific way to prove the "truthiness" of something and what it really means to know it exists.
On 10FEB2015, my partners Olivia and Tiyonna went to school after dark in search for paranormal activity. They were accompanied only by a teacher, a video recorder, and a Ouija board. It is debatable that a spirit or two were also in their presence. They started at 8:00 PM and finished after 9:00 PM. Above is the video of what happened that night and an exclusive interview with eye-witnesses.
If you've already watched the video, you'll notice that the video stops recording right when the board starts to spell out a name. If we were to do this project again, I would want to have a backup camera battery in case the camera dies just like it did the first time. In the interview, my group members also mention this as something they would want to change. In the end, I think my group did a really good job working together and collaborating with each other. We would like to specially thank Jeff Lohman who was willing to spend his time investigating with us.
In conclusion, the eye-witnesses do believe the truthiness of ghosts is real. In the video, you can slightly see the board moving a few times. The ouija board users confirm that they were not willingly moving their arms to spell anything, so it's up to you to decide if that's enough evidence for you.
